Education has long been considered the key to opportunity and fulfillment
as well as the ticket to prosperity. As part of the EDUCATE BLACK
AMERICA initiative, The Black Higher Education Channel was developed
in conjunction with the national accreditation agencies, the Department
of Education, leading educational journals and publications, and
our team of educational consultants to provide the best available
resources and opportunities on the Internet. We are constantly expanding
and offer something for everybody, from elementary school to pre-college
to college to career and trade to working professionals to folks
just interested in learning.
Our pre-college (K-12) and college selection section will provide
scholastic achievement aids, resources on student guidance, college
preparation, and career planning.
Our Americas Black Collegians Network
will enable you to explore colleges, universities, and other institutions
of Higher Education through our list of accredited schools.
Recognizing the significant contributions made by Historically
Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to the progress
of Black America, we have included a listing for students interested
in attending a predominantly Black college or university.
Courses and training for career enhancement for working professionals
as well as for people seeking new careers is the focus of the Professional
and Management Education section.
Post secondary technology oriented degree programs and other specialized
career fields will be outlined in our Career
and Trade section. For people seeking to continue their education
as well as for folks who love to learn, Continuing
Education and Distance Learning will provide
a wide selection of learning opportunities that are offered online
as well as through telecommunications
We have named our site "The Black Higher Education Channel"
to parallel our companion site, Americas Black Collegians,
www.am-blk-coll.com,
which generates and distributes scholarships to Black students seeking
Higher Education. Our goal is to distribute $100
Million in scholarships on an annual basis. Having the financial
resources to seek Higher Education is equally, if not more, important
as knowing what courses to take and what schools to attend. Taken
together, America's Black Collegans and The Black Higher Education
Channel form EDUCATE BLACK AMERICA. Our simple objective
is to help people make one of the most important decisions of their
lives and provide financial support to help deserving students fulfill
their higher education dreams.
We hope you will come back to get the information you need as well
as visit Americas Black Collegians, www.am-blk-coll.com,
to help and better prepare the 1.5 Million Black students attending
colleges and universities throughout America. The everyday dollars
you spend can and will be leveraged into millions of dollars of
scholarship support. The Black Higher Education Channel and Americas
Black Collegians together will strengthen the ability of Todays
Youth to become Tomorrows Leaders".
